My friends think I'm weird because I prefer to read sheet music than listen to a recording. But for me, a recording will never be as true as the music on the page. Please tell me I'm not the only person with this preference.

@fesshole I kinda love that this boils down to preferring the arrangement performed by the orchestra in your head to that of an orchestra in real life. It's the mystification of the ego!
