my understanding is in the us they have the choice of two parties, evil or incompetent. but in england we're more sophisticated and so we have the two main parties, quite evil but still often incompetent or pretty incompetent but often still evil. Plus we have fringe parties which are mostly just straight up evil or entirely incompetent. also the lib dems exist too still apparently

@nico I know what you mean, but the US head of state has nuclear codes, and ours would cause a constitutional crisis if he did more than mumble occasionally.
british people are still like "how did americans end up with that idiot head of state" but it's because they voted and part of voting is that you are allowed to vote stupid. but here we have a head of state who got there because his mum had the job, she got it because her dad did it...etc
