if there ever happens to be, like, a revolution or something that puts an actual democratic non-capitalist society where i live, i hereby give them permission to put me to death
not because i'm some sort of right-wing wrecker who's going to fight back, but simply because i don't have the social skills and enough unconditional empathy to operate in that kind of environment
i'd be holding everyone else back and, even if someone is able to derive useful work out of me, i'd feel out of place working for the benefit of a system that i won't ever be able to make use of
you know how much effort and careful selection it took for me to start opening up to people online? i don't think i'd ever be able to do the same to just any random neighbors, even as a condition of survival
capitalism sucks, but it's simple to operate in: put 8 hours of your life in, get money out, give money to shops and government offices, get essential goods and services out, and you don't have to actually care about anyone in the process
i don't know if i'd ever be able to function in some other way
