@Peace See the difference here is that in Canada, our Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the right to Freedom of Expression.

Well I don’t side to what is expected or worded exactly you know this of me haha. I practice it first then give feedback if I made corrections.
The key words in both cases we both share despite the minor differences . Is Freedom!
That one word says it all . And overlaps where ever that word appears again .

I am not going to dive into the politics of it but I’ve heard this before. ‘If we have free speech, that means all speech’ and as stupid as it may sound it is a point.
BUT I don’t think it should be considered when speaking about the ideals we have aspired too especially within government institutions.
I know how this works soon you may see stories claiming the opposite. Again I said what I said … no time for people who don’t know me to get all huffy 😃
I know this works at least for me…just because we fail in our aspirations does not mean we shall avail ourselves to just giving up. That’s not how you become better, in my opinion.
And this is the dilemma between laws and common sense i.e. wisdom!
The only question I have to ask is in all this is
Who has ever benefited from from hate speech? Who?
