@jensimmons Hi Jen, I am a webdev and just ran into a huge problem on MacOS Sequoia. I spent hours figuring out why Safari didn’t honor my /etc/hosts file. Turns out, Safari (or the os) now does DNS type HTTPS lookups and the results, if any, take precedence over what is in /etc/hosts.
This is a real showstopper for me (while developing a site). How do folks handle this? Can I give the hosts file precedence? Let me know if this isn’t the right channel to ask you that. Thanks a lot! Stefan
