@daringfireball when teams are organized by function (rather than product), there isn’t much to be “saved” by having a single operating system. There isn’t some other team’s work to leverage. They are already getting the benefit of leverage through the functional organization.
@daringfireball Gruber is right to point this out and Ternus is exactly the right guy to be CEO and field this query.
There won’t be a Mac that runs iOS or the reciprocal. They are nice on their own terms!
