Let's see if a Rust program cross-compiled on Linux to target FreeBSD actually runs.

I've created a fake Mumble server that responds to requests:
https://codeberg.org/cyrevolt/not-the-mumble
I am running it on a FreeBSD VM now for testing.
I have a service that periodically checks a Mumble server and exposes its stats as JSON. It works with the fake server, but not with our real Mumble server - though only in a container in our infra. It works when the service runs on the host directly.
This must be some ultra cursed setting. 🫠
Oops... it's easier to just install the Rust toolchain on the target system and compile there, unfortunately.

Why is "--target" next to impossible to use right?
