Discussion
I just saw Uruky developer on lobsters saying it hasn't grown as much as needed to be sustainable yet. It saddens me.
When I first saw it a few months ago I was not so sure about it and didn't pay much attention, just kept it in the background of my head.
After seeing this and knowing that there exists someone actively focused and working on an alternative search engine that actually respects their users and from my country, made me register for it now.
5€ / month, 60 € / year.
Let's go 🥕
I'm sorry for thinking many months ago that it was just some side hustle or hobby thing without proper focus.
It is. A real company with focus and people actively working on it. There's a "changelog" and roadmap too at the end of page - https://uruky.com/whats-new
Let's see how it goes for now.
Tried a few searches and it's really clean and super fast.
Found in top results the things I searched.
I'll keep trying on the following days.
Uruki - Search without ads or tracking

* Not another AI tool
I'll add hashtags now. Scroll up on the thread if you care 😅

The account system is like mullvad had where it's just an account number.
Zero personal information exchanged!
No email, no personal info, no passwords. Simple!
You can buy like I just did on https://proxystore.de/en by SEPA transfer if that's your thing too. Zero transaction costs.
Gotta support the things that matter to us.
It's the closest thing to Kagi which went kinda weird and not going as I'd expect.
It has AI warning and tagging of search results too.
