When my kids were little I told them the ice cream truck was the broccoli truck. As they got older I thought they knew and it was just a cute family joke. THEY DIDN'T KNOW. They were 15 and 16 when a neighbour's kid told them. I can't stop laughing.

@fesshole That's why you shouldn't lie to children, seriously. My parents lied to me by saying my grandpa I lost when I was two died because he smoked, all so I don't start smoking. I learned the real cause in my early 30s, but the lie was so ingrained in me I can't remember what the truth is, so there likely is some disease running in the family I don't know about.
