@ai6yr for context, Brevard County contains Viera and Titusville, known for infestations of affluenza-afflicted, magaty-brain addled boomers.
To say the population there is insufferable is being charitable.
I do wonder if this is just the tradition in the South?
(ie notice this during hurricanes, too, where instead of "The National Weather Service is warning of" it's "I asked my cousin Bob, who has a Facebook page, what he thought, and he thinks we're not going to have much impact from XYZ hurricane")
