EU nations have gone after journalists for speaking out against EU support for Israel. As if the issue would be impunity, then I would expect #ChatControl to not even be proposed. Including #EUKidsAct to restricts free anonymous access to information.

And it doesn't help that most politicians, whether in EP or national parliaments are attacking journalists with insults in public.

Not to mention police targeting people using GrapheneOS an very secured OS used by many journalists.
