@ai6yr
"I do have sort of a reputation around town, They call me 'the toast guy'"
I know Canadians are polite but I think he probably has another name or two also
Like "That guy who's house always gets egged"
@ai6yr I don't know man, a toaster running at 1500W or more all night long might be more expensive than just buying candy. lol.
@ai6yr @exador23 Yes, he had mentioned that as better than my snake tongs. BUT I just made the mistake of trying to find that video and looked up King Cobra India and am now totally freaked out and wow. people are brave. I did once bump into a cobra - in India at a national park on a picnic. I was looking for frogs in a post monsoon pond, and the cobra had the same idea.
@nomdeb @ai6yr @exador23 that reminds me of the short story - Probably by Rudyard Kipling. A man was talking about how weak and prone to panic women are. This was in India during the British occupation.
The female host of the dinner party asked a servant to put a bowl of milk on the patio. Within minutes, a cobra emerged from under the table where everyone was seated and went to drink the milk on the patio.
The woman lept up and closed the door.
The cobra had crawled across her foot.
@ai6yr Took my kids trick-or-treating in a Saskatchewan small town last night. Did not get any burnt toast. (Got a truly stunning amount of candy though, Sask small towns don't go halfway on Halloween!)
@sundogplanets 😂 Maybe next year!
@ai6yr kids seem amused by all the people offering potatoes as an option but I don’t know about toast.
