I’ve been watching Democratic politicians who move toward Republican Fascism. It isn’t only the flaming example of Haley Stevens. I have seen it at the state and local level too.
It is repulsive and can be demoralizing. Watching the union of cowardice and fascism really exposes one to the basest aspects of humanity. 1/
The antidote is to redouble one’s focus politicians and others who are doing the opposite, showing bravery and integrity as they fight Republican Fascism. Here’s who I am thinking about today. 2/
Abdul El-Sayed
Jasmine Crockett
Chris Murphy
Kat Abughazaleh
Brad Lander
Who are you thinking of in politics and elsewhere who is fighting Republican Fascism? 3/
Juliana Stratton
Melat Kiros
Katie Hobbs
Lots of folks mentioning Chris Van Hollen.
I want to add:
Keith Ellison
Letitia James
Maggie Toulouse-Oliver
Jocelyn Benson
Phil Weiser
Jena Griswold 4/
And…
Melanie Stansbury
Gabe Vaszquez
Ben Ray Lujan
Theresa Leger Fernandez
Sarah Boses
Tell me who are the people, in politics and out, who you think about when you think about courage and integrity in the fight against Republican Fascism? 5/
@heidilifeldman Jasmin Crockett is in the pocket of Israel and they don't have to pay her. She's better off jumping off a cliff. You know how insane someone has to be to willingly support a genocidal man made state?
@heidilifeldman William Lawrence, running to unseat Barrett in MI-7!
@heidilifeldman Sen. Van Hollen.
@heidilifeldman It looks like #JasmineCrockett only fights #fascism in #USpol if Jasmine Crockett will benefit. 🤷🏻♂️
Sorta like #HaleyStephens , aka #HaleyFetterwoman.
@heidilifeldman It's a bit old but I will always give props to Chris Van Hollen for visiting Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. No one else did. At least someone understands what it means to be an American Senator.
@prism @heidilifeldman same!
proud of my senator, and my rep (raskin) 🤩
@prism 💯
Not old and absolutely spot on!
@heidilifeldman Angie Nixon!!!!
And TIL about Jasmine Thomas from Oklahoma running for Senate. She’d be the youngest ever if she wins. Seems like a real fighter for the people.
