I picked up an iMac from the tip shop here years ago that never worked.
Got its HD out to check - it’s from my workplace but before I started, in 2010. Covered in internal emails and working design files - about 60GB worth all up.
The owner at the time appears to have given it to his daughter and it has her schoolwork on it, then his photography for a few years.
@NanoRaptor I work in ewaste and we have such strict data destruction policies before we do any value recovery because everyone from people to mega corps just somehow let that shit go full of P3 and P4 data
