I'm a 40-something city bloke who's only just found out that goats and sheep are different species altogether. Until now I had thought that goats are all male and sheep are all female and they breed with each other.

@fesshole I know someone who grew up in rural farm country in China who also believed that goats and sheep were the same species when we first met. they're the same word 羊 in Chinese but still it was a weird experience breaking the news to her
