Swift Terminal emulator lovers, other than the Unicode test (that got faster in recent Ghostty), we are now on par, or faster than Ghostty on the vtbench. That said, Ghostty has a lot of new performance tests, which I need to look into and see how we compare there.

@Migueldeicaza Good timing. Right this second I’m porting Swiftterm to the m5stack Tab5 along with an app I wrote to make it act as a USB or Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and macropad.
@Migueldeicaza also this will come as no shock to you but it seems to work great

@Migueldeicaza The m5stack hardware is well done. The tab5 plus keyboard is a dang handy little thing. I use the heck out of one already for EPROM and OneROM burning, and now I can add ssh and being a keyboard and mouse to this. It’s a little Swiss Army knife that won’t hurt my feelings about if I drop it in a puddle or step on it.
Well well well. Ghostty has optimized a few brand new code paths.
Will be exploring these next.
