Y'all. If your child is riding on a bike they need to wear a bike helmet.
If your kid is riding a motorcycle your kid needs a motorcycle helmet.
The helmet is to protect their brain, an important part of their body that regulates systems that run the body.
It doesn't matter if your child is "being careful" or "staying close to home" or any other seriously ridiculous bullshit you say to explain why your child is riding without brain protection.
In closing, just because you quit using your brain for anything useful doesn't mean you get to neglect your child.
