Help, everyone is taking my shitpost seriously
I really dislike the term "race" in RPGs. Like, I know that they aren't trying to imply racism and stuff but it leaves an odd taste in my mouth
Now, since the groups can interbreed, and the offspring is genetically viable and capable of having their own kids, it doesn't sound right to call them species
So I propose we call them "breeds"
Like "what breed of humanoid are you?" "Oh I'm an elf/dwarf/human"

Because PC language is taken seriously by many in both directions.
And really this topic touches on many real world problems with the idea of race.
As an aside/serious note, I think category would be a batter term than race or breed. It is less weighted down by historical issues. Even breed has an issue with the idea that they are only there to breed.
