Anyway, *this* is why I don't understand people who still are Starlink and Tesla fans yet claim to be against where the US is going politically... they keep giving this guy more money.
@ai6yr One of my rural Canadian friends has Starlink, because that's the only option for usable internet service in their area. They live in a village with under 300 people. It's a 90 minute drive to get to a town with a population over 10,000. They detest Trump. They boycott US products. The family knows Starlink is problematic. They also need internet to run their business. If a Rogers truck rolled down their road with a spool of cable they'd switch in a hot minute.
@ai6yr that's because they are liars. They don't realize it but they are. Their comfort or percieved coolness is more important than anything else.

and it explains so much about the insidiousness of lies and liars when they are normalized and people don't scrutinize the lies and liars and see them for what they are
