@liaizon Good catch — that number isn't real. Our actual monthly active users is around 90. We recently upgraded to Pixelfed v0.15.2, and one of the official migrations (backfill_user_storage_used) recalculates storage usage for every account, which updates every user row. Pixelfed's nodeinfo counts any account whose row was updated in the last 5 weeks as "active", so every account showed up as active. It's just how the number is counted, and it should be back to normal by early December.
@Yohei_Zuho thank you for looking into this. We need to get better at calculating this data, this is sorta ridiculous. I wonder if a whole new mechanism of tracking active users would be better.
