I won't do my own homework, but I will say what I think would constitute "The End of America"
If it is ever clear that the people* cannot through organizing, the courts and existing political institutions reshape their government, change the rules to make the world more like what they think would be right? Then it is over.
*Let's call "the people" every adult person who lives here permanently of all genders, faiths (or lack thereof), races, ethnicities and political allegiances.
Thus, any changes that alter *who* can exercise power are key.
"Full Communism" would be a kind of end. If everyone must be a member of one party that is a dead end. But, it would be hopelessly naive to assume this is what frightens Mr. Thiel. This fake horror story about the dead end of an all-powerful state is a cover story for what really scares him: literally the opposite issue.
Not too few having influence or power. He fears there will be too many. Me, you, us, that guy over there too.
I will forever be embarrassed and disgusted that our government gave this man Citizenship. He didn't earn it, he's never lived here to qualify for it, and the country wasn't informed of his political leanings beforehand.
If I have my way, he'll be ousted along with Kash Patel's FBI office that was covertly installed in our Capital City.
@futurebird He's a libertarian, so presumably he considers "Freedom" very important. He's on the record saying that BBC Freedom is incompatible with democracy. So, as anyone paying even a bit of attention has noticed, he considers democracy to be an obstacle to be removed. Of course, he was the first billionaire to endorse Trump when he was only newsworthy because the Very Serious People considered him a joke.
@futurebird if only... and it would be high time
@futurebird Peter Thiel, who wasn't sure in an interview if he would like humanity to survive.
