I keep getting mails about someone trying to log into my blockchain.com account. I don't remember having a blockchain.com account so I'm sure there's nothing valuable on there.
Would be funny if they finally manage to hack it, only to find it empty 🤩
@n3wjack @bazkie I got a small amount of bitcoin from something like that some time before I understood what a techbro shitshow blockchain was. At some point it was worth a lot more, so I decided I might as well use it for something. Found a webshop that accepted bitcoin, and bought a synth. It was a minimoog clone by that bad company. About two years later I could have bought an actual minimoog for the same amount. But I'm happy about not owning any cryptocurrency, so no regrets there.
@defaultmediatransmitter @n3wjack I'm not as opposed to crypto as most people are, for example it allows me to buy estrogen without governments/banks being able to block the payments. I guess a lack of financial regulation comes with upsides and downsides.
@defaultmediatransmitter @n3wjack yeah the problem is creation; either banks/governments do it (centralized), or when you want it decentralized you need some way of incurring cost so it can't be created out of thin air by anyone.
so they chose "energy" as cost, which is kinda wasteful, and also it gives an advantage to already rich people who have access to energy for cheap.
maybe we can come up with a new system that runs on bonkwave.

Sadly there is already a "bonk" coin, unrelated to BonkWave as far as I am aware.
