i accidentally tweeted a criticism of the new black and white apple music icon* from the panic account and now everyone knows i work at panic 😭
*i literally don’t see it anymore. i look past it in my dock 60 times wondering why i uninstalled apple music
@cabel mine is right next to the classical music one. I listen to a lot more classical music without intending to.
@cabel I noticed it because
It’s ugly, and why?
Apple Music became more aggressive about attaching to my car bluetooth with the 27.2 update and I’ve dealt with it more (my true default is a third party podcast app)
@cabel I still can’t find the calendar or clock apps since they changed the icons.
@cabel I upgraded a few days ago and have to search for "music" now.
@cabel No one is a bigger fan of black and white app icons than me and I think this is a huge mistake.
Also Apple should support its own alternate app icon APIs and give us some choice here
@cabel
Worst kept secret 😆
@cabel (I think they already knew)
@cabel I have no idea what their goal was!
@cabel I saw the toot with the panic account and I was ready to answer when it disapeared right under my eyes 😊 I was sure it was you ^^
@cabel literally the same issue here. i hate it.
@cabel As a regular buyer of the green-on-top-blue-at-bottom shampoo in the supermarket that vanished and that I can’t find again (a.k.a. “we improved the mixture and have a new brand design”), I agree.
@cabel I wish they took some of the cool ripply color effects stuff in that video and baked it into the icon
☹️
@cabel My daughter was swiping on my CarPlay screen looking for it. She totally missed it too. I told her the change and she said “that’s stupid”.
@chockenberry @cabel related: screen sharing, device hub, preview, which is which?!
@chockenberry @cabel I’ve got it right next to Instapaper, it’s brutal. And Due is on my Home Screen too. Why can’t they just give us an alternative icon like a normal app?
@cabel I have this same problem in CarPlay! I like it on my iPhone Home Screen but my eyes slide right past it in CarPlay.
@cabel i was just telling this to my wife as I was trying to stream some music from my phone.
