The claim about short wait times for phone calls is probably because callers hear "Your call is important to us. Please hold. You are number 8573 in the queue," and then the callers give up and hang up right away. Kinda like when people give up looking for work, they're no longer counted as unemployed, statistically.
Not dissing the Social Security Administration, just their Trump-installed leadership.
@dangillmor Just got that as well as the bribes for seniors that come under "Instead of using the money congress gave us to improve medicare, we're just going to send it to you as a check and continue gutting the program".

@dangillmor TBF, I got a check from Kathy Hochul and, oh yeah, the NYS legislature last week to spend on energy this winter. So nice of them, just before the election.

I got this one in today's snail mail. Started reading the first sentence, stopped and threw the letter in the trash.
Left to their devices, the GOP will kill SS and Medicare. They can haul ass.
