@theprivacydad A word to the wise... Proton wants to have AI like a fast-moving US or China company and they wish they could move out of Switzerland.

You might be interested in an article I wrote a while back. It covers all the various alternative mobile operating system I could find: https://www.gecos-analytics.eu/en/blog/alternative-mobile-operating-systems/
It seems that the only thing that could theoretically compete with Android (commercially) is Jolla with its SailfishOS operating system. The rest of the alternatives are either too niche or Android forks (i.e. subject to the whims of Google).
