when you inhaled too much toxic fumes from the glue you used while putting your "self-appointed resistance" aesthetic together.

encoding text as images (or as sound) is really ineffective at keeping information away from automated systems these days; yeah the trump admin is lazy, but that is exactly why they are just gonna feed everything into claude or chatGPT or whatever, and these things can read text in images. they are mostly just making things harder for people who rely on alt text for one reason or another. and the moment you have any amount of prominence (which is unavoidable if you are making yourself a serious threat), no amount of hiding behind jpegs of text will keep you safe.

not that the trump administration at the moment has the effective capacity to round up every single regime critic; they would like to, but it would also create more backlash. their best strategy for their goals is still to pick off people and groups they declared enemies one by one, until no one is left to speak up. the easiest way to foil their plans is... voting in the midterms to take political power from them. maybe not very exiting to do (and there is no glory in prevention), but relatively easy and painless, and it would make every single possible subsequent step easier to do.
