The site itself isn't nearly as funny as imagining someone watching The Simpsons and thinking this was an official website
anyway it's very funny to me that the web has been an everyday thing for like 30 years now and TV shows STILL put random URLs in the background without making sure they're safe to put in
I had my own experience being an Internet ne'er-do-well. A while back, this one local crackpot was running for congress, and put a website address into the voter's guide without registering it first, figuring he could register it after it went live.
I registered it instead.
Hilarity ensued.
The music no longer works (because of autoplay permissions changing sine then) but Internet Archive caught a snapshot of it. http://web.archive.org/web/20141220071945/http://www.mcquaid4congress.com/ (EDIT: better snapshot with more of the things working)
it is of course a lot better than anything in the actual episode of The Simpsons
(also click on it to make it about 3776x worse)
