What is your dream job(s)?
It can be a real job that currently exists or one that doesn't yet exist but you wish it existed. You can want more than one dream job.
@3TomatoesShort @PhoenixSerenity Oh man, this is my new dream job too now. Publicly funded postpartum doula
@PhoenixSerenity I often think of Fry in Futurama. He was a delivery driver and when he wakes up in the future he is assigned to still be a delivery driver but then he sees that the planet express is a spaceship and his eyes go wide. Thats what I want out of a job.
@PhoenixSerenity assisting and connecting people.
doing biochemical research in a lab.
@PhoenixSerenity I've always wondered what it would be like to be a nuclear physicist
@PhoenixSerenity I want to be a rabbit herder, moving my little bunny friends gently from one grassy knoll to the next with a soothing rendition of 'Bright Eyes' on my harmonica.
@sjpurrs @PhoenixSerenity
lolz, herding cats would be easy by comparison!
@PhoenixSerenity I still wanna be an astronaut
@PhoenixSerenity Writer and singer of songs, mostly ridiculous ones; guerrilla researcher showing universities the real dynamics happening in the Big Building, travel photographer... or honestly just a reseacher with a nonprofit or gov entity studying things worth studying and with enough autonomy to do it the way it needs to be done.
@PhoenixSerenity like many, I don't dream of labor, but something where I could keep working on and driving boats while also helping protect animals and restore ecosystems in a constructive, hands-on, non-NGO way
or something where I could do the same thing on land half the time, o water the rest of the time.
basically I somehow need to be on & around water, and also in the forest, all the time.
I would enjoy being a personal DJ to plants🪴 🌿
@PhoenixSerenity
Send Snoop Dogg an email; he hires people for weird stuff, I bet he'd dig the idea of a personal weed-crop DJ.
@silvermoon82 I wouldn't work for him. He played for Trump/MAGA.
@PhoenixSerenity
Oh, gross. Disappointing, too, he's shown potential in other aspects.
Honestly I really like my work but I dislike my job. My dream would be to keep doing the same work but without the job parts of it.
This might sound weird, but I'd also like it if my coding job involved an hour of carrying heavy objects every day. It would keep me fit, and I find that manual labour clears my head and lets me concentrate.
90% data engineer / 10% building site labourer. The dream work.
@PhoenixSerenity
Book reader. Not reviewer. Just a reader. Pay me to read books. I’m already doing it for free. Why not get paid?
@qurlyjoe @PhoenixSerenity Same but for movies. I would travel the world going to festivals and seeing the Long Tail of movies which never make it to digital release.
Just gonna leave this here…
@PhoenixSerenity any remote job with a co-op not using corporate software or mired in ethical concerns, male *dancer*, luxury carpenter, couch tester, or some combination of the above maybe
@PhoenixSerenity
Dream job if I was well enough to do it? I would like to help new parents get some rest, just doing every day things like taking babies out for a walk, or helping with housework. Regular folks though, not the super rich people who are the only ones who can afford this kind of thing 😭
