As a child it occurred to me that since chemical reactions work better with heat, I could make a glow stick brighter by microwaving it. Stick popped, microwave covered in chemicals. Dad got the blame, parents divorced soon after.

@fesshole or the dirty microwave has nothing to do with the divorce and the child is blaming itself because that’s what children often do.

I think I read the fess as dad was supposed to look after the child at the time. And dad failed spectacularly because child could use microwave on it's own and in a way that could have ended in injury or death.
