@jk a very British cup of tea, expectation Vs reality
@jk Tbh, as a Polish person, British black tea is pretty good, although very strong.
Well, english breakfast tea or english afternoon tea. Probably Yorkshire Tea, or Tetleys or Typhoo. Or Glengettie. That'll do. It's the same in eastern frisia. They drink eastern frisian tea.
@jk
This is Finnish people with coffee
The product is consumed for the caffeine, the rest is secondary
@jk i have a theory that this is actually the true indicator of [loving] [thing]. if you got a real clear favorite or only like a particular version of it, do you really love it, or just enjoy it when it is a certain way? particularly with tea, when it's all the same plant in the end.
if one only cares for a particular brand of a certain style, perhaps one is merely a [specific tea] enjoyer; a tourist in the world of leaf-based beverages
@jk @sandorspruit Tetley's, obviously, but I take your point 😀
@jk "brown liquid"
@jk
Actually, the exact opposite happened with me when a Grand Aunt visited us from the #UK and started mentioning Earl Grey and other different types of tea etc. and somebody in my family said that they have never heard of that "Earl" (cos he never made into the local newspapers here in #Pakistan)
The local #chai culture here is not that particular about blends compared to the Brits
