A North Carolina political candidate was arrested Monday following a standoff with Cary police — the culmination of an incident that started with threats on social media and included calls to WRAL to tell his side of the story.
Jonathan D. Miller, the Libertarian Party nominee for a state Senate seat covering much of Cary and other parts of western Wake County, was arrested about 3 p.m. after a long standoff with police near Cary’s Lochmere neighborhood. Resurrection Lutheran School, a private school near the standoff location, was in a code yellow lockdown part of Monday.
@jalefkowit I’m not sure voters are super receptive to candidates that caused a school lockdown?
But I’m no expert in the field!
