while i was out, the box fan in my window somehow fell out (it seemed pretty well-tensioned and had been in there for like 2 months), and somebody stole it :(

@agowa338 yes. there is no way an outsider could reach where they were without a tall ladder.
these box fans were from amazon basics, however, and did not have a square shape, so it was hard to be entirely certain they were properly anchored :/
but i have technology: namely, a bambu labs 3D printer. so i wonder if i can make a box fan cassette that retains them into the window rather than depending on tension
i'm overthinking this, i will just make some sheet metal captive clips
