As we reflect on our Canadian Forces, Army, Air Force, Arctic operations, and others, we've installed a poppy on the post composer.
This year, I'm thinking about the four lives lost at Wainwright, and the dozens still fighting for their lives in burn units in Edmonton and Calgary.
From my time at AHS, I know they are receiving the best care and love.
For the four souls lost, we remember you:
Sergeant Morgan Wong, Private Shaun Farrell, Private Aidan Goulding, and Private Hayden Lykkemark. We will remember you.
Personally, I remember my grandfather, who was an RCMP sergeant. Though he didn't serve with the Forces, he served at home. For that, I'm proud to carry his name as my middle name.
Lest we forget the humans who have lost their lives defending our amazing country, provided education, and helped keep the peace around the world. May we also pause for those still doing this work.
Mastodon Canada will carry the poppy until November 12th.
. How exactly do you install a poppy on the post composer?
I would strongly encourage other Canadian instances to do the same.
