The beeswax-turpentine coating on my desk suddenly started peeling off like dry skin, after less than 3 months of use. *sigh*
Can anyone versed in woodworking guess why this might have happened? I followed all the instructions, did many passes, and let it dry for days.
@raucao Not until just now. The peeling had started before. Using it accelerated the peeling.
@jonikorpi Personally, I like hard wax oil for surfaces like that. I apply two coats, then let it harden for a couple days before considering the surface usable.
