If you had to choose between becoming a vampire or becoming a werewolf, what would you choose & why?

I was going to say vampire anyway because I like being human and there’s still nightlife and space travel to enjoy.

@PhoenixSerenity fun fact, ages ago, there was a biotech I worked for as a PM that encouraged dressing up at work on Halloween. I did myself up Elder Amelia style (Underworld) strapless gown, gothy choker, slicked back hair, dramatic make up and a film worthy set of fangs. Had a meeting to attend that day. Walked into the conference room and the VP who's meeting it was took one look at me, stood up from his head of the table seat and said, "sorry, clearly I'm in your chair" Then moved a seat down. I ran with it. Strolled to the head seat, sat down, nodded my head and said, "You may begjn."

See, this is making me think werewolf. A vampire might just bleed them dry (laudable but maybe not so fulfilling), but as a dog I'd give them a proper mauling.

Every time he took a photo he'd turn to dust
He solved that problem by carrying a small glass vial of blood on a chain round his neck which would break & revivify him should he become inconveniently endusted

@angelteeth @PhoenixSerenity compelling reasons. I'm still on the fence because vampires retain self control when they kill people, and werewolves, I had thought, do not (but if I'm wrong there, then awesome)

seems like different lore says different things! some of the oldest werewolf lore says that the wolf retains its human intelligence (and sometimes other human features like eyes and hands 😳) when it turns. But even if it didn't, a wolf is still perfectly intelligent and capable of making the decision of whom to bite 😉
@angelteeth @PhoenixSerenity also I don't think I live a normal mammalian lifestyle as it is. I am right this minute failing to adjust to a diurnal schedule, again, so vampire life is not too far off my norm.
