@carnage4life To be fair (maybe unreasonably so), Microsoft appears to be recognizing the Copilot is a turd and they should just lay off the employees that support it.

A related question would be how many of those layoffs are due to AI making them already redundant, and how many are being laid off to hype AI and the improve the profits margin in the next reports?

Marketing it as “a job killer” didn’t have the universal appeal they thought it would

@carnage4life "AI will take all the jobs" is what you say when you want VC $trillions.
"AI will raise wages" is what you say when nobody will let you build data centres.
