@neil And a collection of all the batmobile versions from all Batman movies.
@neil I’m sure Claude can generate them a plausible sounding set of documents that are in some way adjacent to the law.
Oh, the requester usually supplies the documents. And sometimes, the "advice".
They just need them "checking over quickly", basically shifting all the risk for their new business plan (generated by AI) to me.
@neil time for a set of “these documents bear some resemblance to legal paperwork, but I do not recommend filing them unless you are unhealthily fond of public humiliation in court” stickers and charge people £350 each for them
@neil also I honestly think that the various national professional licensing regulators need to be cracking down on this. Anthropic and OpenAI are practicing law (and medicine, and from some overheard conversations this weekend civil engineering) without a license and it’s reasonable to aggressively stomp that out, especially because the answers are Markov-chain streams of consciousness blather and not actual proper advice.
I appreciate that there is potentially a significant information disparity here, and I could understand it if is was one task and someone was not sure how big or small it is.
But the sheer scale of each (of numerous) request feels to me much the same as emailing an architect saying
"AI has generated me a plan for a new house. You just need to approve it. I want a mansion with a swimming pool, underground parking, and don't forget the nuclear bunker. Ideally within a week. I've done the work, so you just need to cast your eye over it and check it is fine."
