I bought a Fold 3… it was really cool until the screen broke after 1,5 years. Repair would have been 900€ …. ( I was „invited“ to buy a new folding phone for nearly 1900€)
Folding phones are just a scam…

@arstechnica This doesn't surprise me *at all*. The tolerances involved in making these things must be beyond razor thin.

Perhaps we should just accept the idea that some things shouldn't be folded in the first place.

@arstechnica That’s really disappointing, especially for such an expensive phone. Apple should address the issue and offer a proper solution to affected users.
