nowadays all the shops have closed so you have to buy things on the internet, and you don't know if they're any good, since it's on the internet. when it arrives, it isn't very good, so you buy something else on the internet and it isn't very good either. things being good or not doesn't affect whether people buy them since you can't examine what it is you are buying, so nothing is good any more. but it's a lot more efficient and that's what matters
@jk Fortunately, you can always count on the barrage of bots posting 5 stars reviews of the product to decide if it's any good or not before buying!
@jk More specifically, It's a problem with online markets. If the same shop keeps selling you junk, you stop shopping there. With the anonymity of ebay / amazon, you don't connect the two.
@jk a while ago i bought an herb grinder from a chinese company. the reviews told a story of an undertaking that started out with shoddy grinders that were universally loathed. but the manufacturer used the funds to *improve quality* until no more bad reviews arrived. because of this, i got an excellent grinder, and i am thankful to early customers for their sacrifice.
@jk it's in a corporation's best interest to sell you the worst possible product for the highest possible price

In Czech Republic we have a law that makes it possible to return anything within 14 days of buying it in online shop.
