I’m going to take some very slight comfort in the way the cons won in BC due to poor voter turnout rather than former NDP voters switching their votes. It’s not great, but I might be able to look my neighbours in the eye for the next 4 years instead of fantasize about what they’d look like going through a wood chipper. It’s going to be a rough 4 years and the damage might end up being permanent.

@PhoenixSerenity I’m so sorry. I suspect I’m surrounded by conservatives here, my riding has consistently voted conservative ever since I can remember. I don’t know why. Probably the racism.
@andymoose It's the racism, fake promises of more jobs & catering to anti-vaxxers/anti-maskers - combo crap.
@andymoose Eby needs to be remembered for this - an object lesson in what happens when the party that people look to for ethics acts in a cynical way.
Doug Ford did this and lost no votes. That gambit will never work for us, and I hope the provincial party makes better choices on the next one.
