This is the era of sloppy bullshit. You owe it to everyone to get the facts straight when you’re sharing something and claiming the source of its provenance.
You’d have been better off with “author unknown”
I told someone who shared this quote once their source was wrong and they blocked me.
There’s some slop-written sources online claiming this is a famous Sigmund Freud quote. They just declare and will it into existence. Freud did not say this. Just some nearly anonymous woman online who now has her most famous quote attributed to dudes.
