What (healthy, vegetarian) snacks do toddlers love? Suggestions, please!
Our kid just turned one year old, and we need quick food to placate her while preparing a real meal, and snacks while traveling to the next meal.
She does not love cheerios. Banana spears and apple slices are sometimes popular, and sometimes thrown some distance. Bread (whole grain) has been the biggest hit, sometimes with almond butter but often she'll chew on it indefinitely even when plain.
@skyfaller Kid1 liked peas as a toddler, shelled and in pods. Also corn kernels and diced cooked carrots. I'd put a few things out on the high chair tray for snacking while I made dinner. Small bits of soft veggies are good for little grasping fingers and later good practice for using a spoon. It's pretty easy to clean up spills, too, though peas sometimes roll a long way
Kid2 liked none of that, so ymmv
