They are still counting the last of the votes in BC, but so far the Conservatives have won this election with fewer votes than they got in the last one. They didn’t change anyone’s mind; lots of NDP voters just stayed home. #BCpoli

I do not blame these voters - progressive parties need to learn the lesson of standing for something. Just being a bit less evil than the other party is not enough. You are only teaching people that things like community work, protest, direct action, boycotts etc. are more effective politics for real change than voting is.
@Pkbwood centre left parties moving further right since the 1970s and expecting the left to vote for them for TINA reasons keep getting surprised when turn out drops.
@Pkbwood The problem is that BC NDP weren't a progressive party. They are a status quo right leaning party. They moved far from their own party constitution & lost many longtime NDP voters.
@PhoenixSerenity Eby in 2026 is almost unrecognisable vs Eby of even 2022.
@Pkbwood He changed before that. I knew him back when he was a decent civil liberties lawyer. He sold his soul out to Horgan.
And history teaches us that they are correct.
Now to watch and worry about Brazil…

So disappointed to see this happening.
While people around the world are struggling against the inequalities that conservatives have made it their core mission to create, here we have lazy people too affluent to pay attention.
