@Username_Here_ASAP John Travolta plays an audio engineer who is recording sound effects for a horror film, and accidentally catches audio of a car accident (the titular blowout.)
The car accident involves a politician.
Lithgow plays a fixer for the politician, I guess is the best way to put it.
So it starts as a straight horror film, and then it becomes a whodunit, and then it becomes a political thriller, and then it ventures back into something approaching horror.
