I can’t believe that “Ötzi” hasn’t become a generic metaphor for something that you find far beyond its use-by date in the freezer.

“I went looking for my Tupperware and found it in the freezer. It had Chicken Ötzi and rice in it. I haven’t cooked that since July.

Most people would just call that
"tonight's dinner" without needing to give it a special name.

Although I can imagine:
"what's for dinner?"
"Chicken Ötzi"
"You mean that deep frozen mystery meal you found at the back of the freezer?"

I guess it amount's to the same thing in the end ...
