1./ On the evening of October 6th, I was rushed to the hospital. I was convinced I was suffering from a severe inflammatory episode, given the unbearable pain that had been ravaging me for nearly a month. I had no idea what the diagnosis would be: stage 4 cancer, with metastases in several locations.

A brief explanation regarding the delay in my projects.

For nearly a month, I have been ravaged by excruciating pain caused by one (or a combination) of these 3 conditions.

- Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR)
- Cervicobrachial neuralgia / cervical radiculopathy
- Rheumatoid arthritis

I am scheduled for a nuclear medicine scan (scintigraphy) in a few days.

Then I'll know for sure and get treated for it. Finally!?

I have my first radiotherapy session scheduled for early November; I truly hope it will help alleviate this excruciating pain and restore some of my mobility. That would already be a major step forward.

The medical team is currently awaiting the biopsy results in order to establish a chemotherapy/immunotherapy protocol.

Unfortunately, it is inoperable.

I am now back home, receiving palliative care.. with a hospital bed and 24/7 oxygen,.. while waiting for a treatment protocol to try to halt the disease's progression and manage the constant pain. From the very beginning, I insisted on being able to return home before starting any intensive therapies..or, for that matter, deciding whether to undergo them at all.

I have a radiotherapy session scheduled for early November, which should hopefully improve things. My left arm is completely unusable, etc..due to bone metastases, with serious lesions on three of my vertebrae. I can't walk since 5 days; I am typing using just one finger on the keyboard. 🤣

You have to keep your sense of humor. :0)
