while it is well known that the chinese invented gunpowder, it is commonly believed that they used it for fireworks, rather than any combat purposes
more recent evidence, however, suggests that they were also pioneers in use of proper cannons, with people arguing that some of its applications make it completely accurate to say that the Han shot first

honestly, i myself am surprised that this post got this successful, given that it requires basic knowledge of star wars trivia and chinese history/culture
@Cycling_Liz fun fact: han solo and east asia are technically related, the chinese character used for his name also happens to be the character used in chinese and japanese to refer to korea
