Most home dashboards fail by showing everything they can. The hard part is deciding what to leave out.
Ours runs on a Mac mini and a Raspberry Pi driving an old Samsung Frame TV. Calendar, weather, Powerwall, Octopus tariff, bin days. Notices only appear when they matter, and energy is one sentence instead of a wall of kilowatts.

Already made an iteration which I think is an improvement
@dajb there is a bunch of esphome home assistant connected projects for dashboards. A lot of it stemmed from the bathroom mirror style projects and a bunch are moving to eink displays. It's really cool to see how things are progressing. I haven't got anything up yet but it certainly feels inevitable once the kids need to be organised for their own schedule. Currently mum and dad carry so it's not needed.. I'm guessing secondary school is when things change...
@johnmclear For sure, and if your kids do extra curricular activities it gets complicated coordinating all the things!

@dajb Very impressive. Although I do not need something quite like that, my self hosted services have a user friendly dashboard that I should make better use of - thank you for the inspiration.
