Pushed a big Tapestry build to TestFlight and it took me like 20 minutes just to trim down the changelog to something that would fit in the box. This is what happens when I skip a week...
@bigzaphod I love the new performance improvements in this new build, but have noticed that the auto-play video preview option doesn’t seem to be being respected on my iPhone. Have submitted feedback via TestFlight.
@diw hmm. I can’t seem to replicate this here so far this morning but I didn’t have a chance to dig up your TF feedback report, though, so maybe there’s some specific trigger or specific kind of video… or… something you mentioned in there, but so far I’m not seeing this and I’m not sure why. The code checks out as far as I can tell, too. Odd…
@diw oh wait.. I just got it to happen! Ok.. I’ll figure it out now and should be able to get it fixed.
@bigzaphod Great! On my phone at least (iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 27.0.1) it’s every video of any type. They are muted, thankfully 🤣. If you need logs etc, just let me know.
@bigzaphod it's awesome on my new Duo!
@pauls woohoo! I honestly didn’t even have time to toss it in the Duo simulator. Hopefully no big bugs. lol
@bigzaphod color me intrigued and excited
@bigzaphod loving the UI tweaks and the new color for feeds (my fave color too) — perfection
@filmfreak75 @gedeonm added those nice new color options!
@bigzaphod @gedeonm thank you all — it just keeps getting better and better
It’s notable that TestFlight macOS review happened almost immediately this time. I don’t entirely know why. But yay!
@bigzaphod I'm sure you probably already know this, but if your version number doesn't change, review is much faster. You've been in the business for multiple decades by now though so I'm sure you know this haha!
@brynify yep. The trouble lately has been regular builds just taking forever. A couple weeks ago we had one hang for an entire week. For TestFlight review. Had to contact Apple to get it unstuck! But today was super fast. So that’s good.
@bigzaphod Just updated and the timeline is very fuzzy on my non-retina Mac, is that a known thing?
@scj hmmm no… weird. I bet it’s fractional pixels or something like that. None of my screens are non-retina so I didn’t even think to check that!
@bigzaphod no worries, there’s probably only a few of us left!
@scj I shall try to get this fixed for next time. Been messing around with an old ThinkPad with Linux on it in the evenings and really missing retina there. Somehow that didn’t prompt me to even consider testing Tapestry on such a screen though. Doh!
@bigzaphod I wasn’t expecting this big of an update. You’ve really outdone yourself this time! 👏🏻
