@adam I think what your app shows, beyond the magic of agent-driven discovery and timing (themselves huge), is untethering the user experience from the traditional subscribe-to-feed model. You can still express affinities that way, and set aside real estate for a fixed set of shows, but it's no longer fundamental to the experience. Episodes served up hot and fluffy like pancakes on Sunday morning!

Gigadial did a version of this way back in the day, but it was all human driven.

@adam @dave Interesting show. First, ad strippers are my favorite kind of stripper.

@james and I once had a back-and-forth on the ethics of ad stripping. One high-impact insight was "don't let the ad stripping modify the file as delivered by the host" and create a TiVo experience vs. zeroads.ai (rehosting on a non-podcaster feed).

Is it more ethical to have your robot chop up a shareable file that doesn't get listen counts, or stream from host with option of auto-skip ads in-app somehow?
